 Mission Statement

To Promote Safety Awareness Within The Pilot Community:

Online educational material through the UPCSA website.
Research and recommend online training courses from TIMS, OSHA, SC&RA, NHTSA, FHWA and others.
Educate pilots on standard equipment requirements, uses and methods.
Educate pilots on RCSA (Rick Control and Safety Assessments).

To Promote Safety Awareness Amongst The General Motoring Public:

Educating individual states CMVs on pilot certification requirements.
Educate individual states DOTs on pilot certification requirements. Lobby individual states for mandatory certification.
Lobby highway safety organizations for billboards, radio commercials, website commercials, and high-school driving classes. Educate State Police Agencies in duties and responsibilities of the pilot vehicle.

To Promote A Pilot Vehicle Safety And Certification Standard Recognized And Implemented Throughout All States:

Meeting with lawmakers and highway safety agencies.
Meeting with Congress and Senate to bring awareness to the needs of pilot vehicle safety standards.
Gather a strong alliance with state patrol agencies to assist the UPCSA in achieving our safety goals.

UPCSA Values:

The inclusion of all member’s thoughts and proposals.
To address each organizational goal and organizational task in a professional manner with no personal agendas, no individual recognition, and no ill-intent towards any pilot however new, race, religion or status.
To uphold the by-laws as prescribed to facilitate the UPCSA in education and advancement of safety.

UPCSA Pledge:
I pledge to serve my brothers and sisters in the pilot community with only the utmost respect and honor that they command, putting their lives on the line for Driver, General Public, and Site Crews.
I pledge to diligently call out with respect, any situation that could harm another pilot or crew.
I pledge to always seek education for myself and others within the pilot community to further the UPCSA goal of safety.
